Group Tour: $45 per person


  • 15-30 minute intro to sea kayak paddling
  • 4 hours (about 6-8 miles) of paddling
  • A nice break on an island
  • A good introduction to the Stonington archipelago for beginner to intermediate paddlers
  • Learn about the history, wildlife, and local culture of the area
  • Includes a small snack & all safety gear

Private: $150 ($75 each additional person)

Group Tour: $70 per person


  • 6-8 hours (about 10-12 miles) of intermediate to advanced paddling
  • Visit multiple islands
  • This tour is Will’s favorite because it includes visits to farther out, beautiful islands
  • Learn about the history, wildlife, and local culture of the area
  • Includes snack and water
  • Only private group tours available, where you determine who joins the tour

Private Group: $200 per person


  • Spend the night on an island, after kayaking out
  • Meals and camping gear are not provided during COVID-19 and must be brought by guests
  • Guide will provide lessons in packing kayak, paddling, and setting up camp
  • Guide will provide an evening tour to nearby islands before retiring for the night
  • Only private group tours available, where you determine who joins the tour

Private Group: $305 per person


  • Guide will create a custom lesson based on abilities and what you are looking to learn
  • The Stonington archipelago provides a unique playground for learning new skills
  • Popular topics will be covered, including: paddle technique, safety, navigation
  • Provided: appropriate sea kayak (option to use your own, but please discuss this ahead of time), dry bags, charts & waterproof maps, compass, skirt, tow rope, bilge pump, follow-up support from guide via email

Half-day Lesson: $150 per person

Full Day Lesson: $200 per person

As Osprey’s Echo we make every effort to deliver on our promise of a wonderful trip, but there may be times when either your guide (for reasons of extreme weather) or you will want to consider cancellation.  Therefore, we offer the following policy:

We offer a full refund of all money paid if you cancel a tour, rental or lesson booking more than two days (48 hours) in advance.

If you must cancel within 48 hours we will offer a 50% refund of your up front payment.  For cancellations on the day of the trip, we will not be able to offer a refund.


You will have the option of receiving a full refund if your trip is canceled by your guide due to weather conditions. We will make these decisions either on the day or your trip or the day prior.  We usually do not cancel tours due to overcast skies or scattered showers (the seas are often especially calm and pleasant during these conditions), but we do cancel when winds are too strong, or when thunderstorms appear likely. We will call you if we cancel your trip and we will first try to reschedule at your convenience.  Of course, if this is not possible, we will a full refund.


During our 2021 & 2022 seasons we will offer a full refund if you must cancel a reservation if anyone in your party has been tested positive, exhibiting systems, or been exposed to covid-19.
